The second generation Outlander has been picking up its sales pace in the U.S. In 2009, Mitsubishi sold approximately 10,000 Outlanders in the United States. Still a fraction of its worldwide sales, and down from its highest sales volume in 2007 to the U.S of about 20,000 Outlanders. It is to be expected, being that the 2nd gen Outlander was released in 2005.

The third generation CR-V is down slightly from its peak sales to the U.S of about 220,000. But sales were strong in 2010 at around 210,000. The 2011 is the fifth year Honda has produced the 3rd gen, and it is rumored that major new styling is coming for the 4th gen 2012 CR-V.
